In honor of the life Declan lived we are proud to announce the launch of the Declan Bingham Scholarship Fund. The funds purpose is to provide free and low cost sporting opportunities to kids with the purpose of using sport to positively impact their lives in the way it did for Declan. Through sport he learnt the value of a hard work ethic, friendship, compromise, respect, loyalty, leadership, resilience and achievement.
In Declan’s honor, and in thanks to the local community for all its support at this really tough time, we will be providing free soccer, NFL Flag, Baseball and Lacrosse programs this summer at the Erie Sports Center to encourage kids from all walks of life to play sport, be with friends and learn some of the values that made Declan such an outstanding young man. The Declan Bingham Scholarship Fund will continue its mission by not only providing these opportunities, but by also providing outstanding young athletes and people the opportunity to go on and play on our Travel teams or take part in our skills programs on Scholarship for free.
The Story of Declan’s life is of a young man who lived life to its fullest, exploring the world and excelling in everything he did. It’s a story of friendship, love, loyalty, kindness, caring, respect, and resilience. He adored his family and was fiercely proud and protective of them. He lived a full lifetime in 25 years, creating a positive impact on everyone he met and he will remain in our hearts and forever young.
