Every Kid Sports

Erie Sports Center is proud to partner with Every Kid Sports in an effort to remove the financial  barriers keeping income restricted families out of youth recreational sports.

Who are Every Kid Sports?

33.4% of kids ages 6 to 12 from homes with $25,000 or less were physically inactive, compared to just 9.9% of kids from $100,000+ homes. In an effort to remove the financial barriers that keep kids from playing, encourage the development of multi-sport participation and provide kids with the choice of sport they’d like to play, Every Kid Sports, a leading national non-profit organization, partners with organizations to help children from income-restricted families experience the positive benefits of playing youth sports. Every Kid Sports has been providing financial support that gets kids playing youth sports since 2009.

About the Pass

The Pass removes financial barriers to youth sports participation by providing income-restricted families funding of $150, four times a year, per child, for participation in sports of their child’s choice at the Erie Sports Center. Playing multiple sports exposes kids to greater physical literacy, better socialization, and greater  enjoyment in being physically and emotionally active. It prepares them for a lifetime of activity,  connection, and positive experiences.
