Tee Ball (6U) – ages 4 to 6

Tee Ball is tailored for entry-level players. Designed to provide a safe and fun introduction to the fundamentals of baseball & softball, players learn the basic concepts of catching, throwing, and hitting off a tee.  Coach pitching is allowed in Tee Ball division but depends on the level of skill for each athlete. For coach pitching a player will be given 5 coach pitches (balls and strikes both count). If the player does not hit then he can hit off a tee. This ensures players develop their swing throughout the season and put the ball into play for the fielders. Outs are enforced but not counted towards retiring the side as each team bats through their line-up every inning.

Practices will consist of groups that teach players individual skills and the fundamentals of the games. Games will have players assigned to specific teams on a monthly basis and will consist of on-field coaching. Games will be designed to promote the most amount of on-field participation possible.

A Division (8U/Coach pitch) – ages 7 and 8

In A Division, players hit off live pitching (Coach Pitch) using Level 5 Safety Balls. For games the first half of the season is Coach Pitch only (8 pitches maximum, no walks). The second half is Modified Player Pitch; after Ball 4 from a player pitcher, the batter’s Coach will pitch and finish the at-bat resulting in a strike-out or hit.  There is no stealing and outs are enforced and counted towards retiring the side.

Practices will consist of groups that continue to develop players individual skills and build on the fundamentals of the games. This age will develop defensive and offensive skills including: batting techniques, base running and other offensive situations as well as defensive skills that include higher level fielding skills such as working the cut off, working backup in positions, defensive situations and awareness.

Games will have players assigned to specific teams on a monthly basis and will consist of on-field coaching. Games will be designed to promote the most amount of on-field participation possible. As the season goes on the coaches will allow the games to become more competitive while remaining positive for the players to develop.

AA DIVISION (10U/PLAYER PITCH) – AGES 9 AND 10

AA Division is exclusively player pitch using conventional (hard) baseballs. This is an instructional division to continue building on the fundamentals of baseball, emphasis is on developing pitching by giving all players the opportunity to pitch in practice and multiple games. Players begin stealing bases with limitations in place for the first part of the season. Stealing home is not allowed.

Practices will consist of groups that continue to develop players individual skills and build on the fundamentals of the games. This age will continue to improve the fundamental skills as well as develop defensive and offensive skills including: batting techniques, base running, stealing and other offensive situations ase well as defenive situations that include pitching, defending steals, working the cut off, working backup in positions, shifting the field, general fielding and awareness.

Games will have players assigned to specific teams on a monthly basis and will consist of on-field coaching. Games will be designed to promote the most amount of on-field participation possible. As the season goes on the coaches will allow the games to become more competitive while remaining positive for the players to develop.

aaa division (12u/player pitch) – ages 11 and 12

AAA Division is exclusively player pitch using conventional (hard) baseballs. This division of promotes a higher level of competition than “AA” and emphasizes more of the standard rules of Little League baseball. The focus in “AAA” remains on education, development and teamwork while encouraging a deeper understanding of the game and advancing skill development in order to prepare players for successful participation at the Majors level.

Practices will consist of groups that continue to develop players individual skills and build on the fundamentals of the games. This age will continue to improve the fundamental skills as well as further develop advanced defensive and offensive skills including: batting techniques, base running, stealing and other offensive situations ase well as defenive situations that include pitching, defending steals, working the cut off, working backup in positions, shifting the field, general fielding and awareness.

It is critical that the managers and coaches of this division provide sound training and good balance of playing time and position rotations for all players. Besides building upon the skills taught to them at the preceding levels, players should successfully understand the advanced rules of the AAA Division and developer finer baseball skills.
